Things Are Looking Great in 2008! - January 19, 2008
Hello fans and friends!
Paul and I have changed the name of our duo to "Ella's Umbrella". When we formed our duo "Take Two" we did the research to see if that name had been registered, which it hadn't. When we booked our gigs in Vermont, we found that two other groups had that name and had performed in New England for over 15 years...so we opted to change our duo name, as we had only been a Duo for 7 years. Sooooooo look for Ella's Umbrella at Baltimore's new Smoke Free restaurants and bars, in the spring.
Last year was full of challenges for me. I have had several events with my health which have limited my ability to perform music. Hopefully I will be on the road (to recovery) and again, to performing .
Last summer I was one of the finalist chosen to perform in the KISS showcase concert...(Kickass Independent Singer Songwriter) performing at the Creative Alliance in Baltimore. Paul and I always enjoy our short tour to Virginia and North Carolina, which we do twice a year. We spread out our venues by performing in two venues in Vermont in July.
I'm working on a few new songs, that I hope to have finished to tour with this year. As usual my sense of humor and music, gets me through the tough times.
Thanks to those of you who came out to hear us perform...it's much more fun with you there.
